Steve A Johnson, PhD, ScD is the Vice President of the Albert Ellis Institute and a professor of psychotherapy. He has lectured and presented hundreds of training workshops in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and South East Asia on cross-cultural evidence-based treatments for severe PTSD and how to integrate spirituality into psychotherapy for clients for whom spirituality or religiosity is relevant. Currently, he presents workshops on treating trauma for PESI, the leading distributor of mental health continuing education in the United States. One of his major interests is in treatments for Muslim immigrants and refugees who have experienced extensive trauma.
