Ruth Malkinson Ph.D is the director of training at the International Center for the Study of Loss, Bereavement and Resilience, University of Haifa. She is the director of The Israeli Center of REBT and is past president of the Israeli Association for Family and Marital Therapy. Her fields of expertise are grief, trauma and bereavement and RE-CBT and its application in therapy as well as couple and family therapy. An author of numerous articles on loss, bereavement and trauma, and cognitive grief therapy, she has co- edited with S. Rubin and E. Witztum three books: "Loss and bereavement in Jewish Israel society" (in Hebrew,1993) and "Traumatic and nontraumatic loss and bereavement: Theory, clinical and practice" (2001), and Working with the bereaved: Multiple lenses on loss and mourning (2012). Her book "Cognitive grief therapy: Constructing a rational meaning to life following loss" (2007) was published by W. W Norton Publishers (2007).
